  • Job Corps

    Where: Main Library -- Second Floor Meeting Room

    The library will continue to host Job Corps Orientations on the 3rd Wednesday of each month this fall. Job Corps is the largest vocational trade school in the country. It’s a FREE residential program to those who meet eligible guidelines. The program is open to ages 16 to 24 that need a High School diploma. Training takes 8 to 15 weeks to complete.     A Financial Aid Specialist from the Atlantic Cape Community College will be proving general information about applying for financial aid.
  • Comic Drawing
    When: Thursday, October 25, 2018 - 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM
    Where: Main Library -- Second Floor Meeting Room*** (Split Room)

    Marvel DC Comic Illustrator Joe Del Beato will lead drawing instruction for children and teens ages 7 to 17. Learn how draw your favorite characters. In September, Beato will lead free workshops focusing on Hispanic characters in comics, cartoons and graphic novels. All materials supplied. No experience necessary.
  • Make a Sweet Haunted House
    When: Saturday, October 27, 2018 - 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

    For Kids and Teens. Make an ooey-gooey haunted “gingerbread” house to celebrate Halloween. Houses (or graveyards, or asylums) are constructed with graham crackers and royal icing on a piece of cardboard, then decorated with candy pieces, cereals, and anything else you can think of. Participants will then write a 6 word story about the scary things that lurk within the sweet exterior. Reservations required. Call youth services 609-345-2269 X3050
